Firefighter Steve and
The Bucket Brigade

Firefighter Steve and the Bucket Brigade uses the platform of the Arts to communicate life-saving fire safety behaviors to children of all ages. Firefighter Steve is the leader of a musical group of firefighting super-heroes known as Firefighter Steve and the Bucket Brigade. Firefighters everywhere are everyday heroes. Traditionally, children’s entertainment has always involved super-heroes of every description. And it’s for these reasons that the super-hero concept is incorporated into the fabric of this program. Fire deaths and fire-related injuries are mostly preventable.

In the case of Firefighter Steve and the Bucket Brigade the life-saving behaviors that are addressed in this program can mean the difference between life and death in many instances, and at the very least, can prevent serious injury.

However, the subject matter, if not properly presented, can have the result of children becoming frightened and subsequently not receiving the message. But through the use of positive songs and artwork, the message of Firefighter Steve can be embraced readily and positively; all while having fun!
